Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Stunning to be up in the treehouses. Views were magnificent, and the room was well designed, attractive, and the fire and eady chairs looking up to the mountains were specially appreciated. The garden was also beautifully landscaped and maintained and our tour with Joe was so interesting and enjoyable.
Negative: Although the service and presentation of the dinner were first rate, we were a little disappointed with the mains. Day one was the ling with cabbage and gnocchi and all a bit pale, except for the crispy kale, so not very appetising. Day two was the venison, which was somewhat overwhelmed by the rendang curry sauce. We enjoyed all the other courses at dinner.
Summary: Our stay was for a special occasion and overall our Hapuku treehouse was was a real treat. Thank you to all the staff
